Twickers Crusade
Twickers Crusade
(Latest Crusade continues with a trip to Twickers)
[]

The latest crusade continues with a trip to Twickers and a thorough thrashing of the Sharks.

Even though the crowd was slightly disappointing (50000 would have been good), the quality of the game was without question. Some of the ball handling and pace on display was quite breathtaking.

SBW is looking more and more like an awesome machine. He shares those characteristics with the whole forward pack, who managed to splinter the Sharks scrum on a number of occasions (an all 'Bok front row as well). SBW's skill set seems to be improving markedly. His kicking game is actually existent (instead of non). His tackling is of course totally awesome. Defense with a capital 'D'.

Israel Dagg started the season slow, but appears to be on the rise again. Same with Zac Guildford. The Whitelock(s) are fast becoming legends. Matt Todd is a future AB in the making. As is Sean Maitland who has pace to burn.

The remarkable thing to me thus far is this Crusader teams ability to perform under such bizarre and amazing circumstances. We all know the teams past successes and resilience. But to potentially play all their games away from AMI Stadium and still win and perhaps more importantly be insanely competitive is a remarkable feat.

Anyone living in Christchurch knows what other external pressures the team has. And yet the Crusade rolls on.
