All I can about Toddy & the boys is this.......RUBBISH!

After a dominant 1st half where it looked like the red 'n' blacks would run riot, in the 2nd half things turned to puss.

I don't know if it was because they had there eyes & minds focused on the shield challenge next week, or they were so far ahead at half time they put the handbrakes on & went off the boil. Who knows?

What is fact is they played like headless chickens & nearly lost to a team they should have thrashed. That isn't good enough. For Harbour, Botica impressed with his ability to create space & his kicking game. Their forward pack competed & even managed to have the Cantab scrum on the back foot on occasions. That winger with the elastic knees (Tipoki) had a stormer. Robinson was superb & proved he is the 2nd best halfback in the country. If Harbour had been able to hold onto the ball they would have won.

Our forwards looked slow & unmotivated in the 2nd half. There is no way they should have let the Harbour forwards back in the game. Angus Gardiner's injury is a huge concern (medial ligament).

WE WANT TO SEE OUR FORWARDS THAT PLAYED IN THE 1ST HALF! Not those wallies that came out for the 2nd.

Bub's missed loads of tackles in the mid-field (very unlike him). The chasing game was deplorable, leaving way too many gaps in the defensive line. Marshall made silly mistakes at crucial times. Mehrts had an OK sort of game (a few mistakes). It was good to see Leon McDonald back in his preferred jersey as well!

Robbie and the coaching team have got alot of work to do if they expect the team to lift the shield. A demanding public expects nothing less.

All I can say is AT LEAST AUCKLAND LOST!!. Tee hee hee : - )

Well done Counties! Didn't watch the game because it was of no interest, but it certainly makes the race for the 4th spot in the semi's interesting. Five teams have a shot. The top 3 is already decided.

Have to mention our Southern bretheren. Otago destroyed a woeful Wellington team on Friday night. That Otago forward pack is just AWESOME & is the future of AB rugby. Wellington were on the other hand their usual gutless pathetic selves. Admittedly I was pissed watching the game, but at times it looked as though there were 5 'Goldies' on the field. Young Jeffrey is a freak!

C'MON WELLINGTON, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

For us Cantabs, the boys will have to lift their games around 200% if they have any hope of winning the shield.
