Toddy & the boys did it again!
The Cantabs have a huge amount of respect for Taranaki, mainly because of their physical, in your face, approach. To come away from the Bullring with a solid win (including a bonus point) was a super effort.
The foundation was again laid by the forwards. Taranaki competed ferociously in the tight, but the Cantabs, like they have all season (forgeting the Otago game for a sec), eventually overpowered them.
Toddy again stood out. The man can cover blindside, no. 8 & lock at a pinch.....Harts dumping of him this season was a travesty!
Mehrts & Marshall (with a much more normal hair colour) had stormers. Bubs had a quiet one, although his defensive game was top notch.
James Kerr continues to florish in the Canterbury environment. He makes no secret he loves Christchurch....more than likely a factor in his splendid form.
Overall an impressive performance. GO THE CANTABS!
With the Auks beating Wellington, its set up perfectly with a Canterbury - Auckland semi at Jade Stadium.
Could that be more perfect?
The Canterbury win in that game would set up the ultimate.....Canterbury & Otago in the final!
That of course depends on the Scarfies beating Waikato in their semi....a tough ask as the Mooloos would be smarting after losing the shield........TO THE RED 'N' BLACKS!! Nostradamus at work here thats for sure......: - )
Didn't watch any other game in the weekend so I couldn't possibly comment on their inadeqacies!
