Got to admit Picko's boys have us by the balls this time. Embarrassed

Before they squeeze we had a window of opportunity this week until the Rainbow Frog Incident which sucked trades at an unfortunate time ! Angry

Did you and messy get an email back from AFP or Kobe, TRA ? Concept good if set up right, eh !
                         Cheers, Baz  Lips Sealed

P.S. Piri allows a splash for a Robinson or O'Driscoll. Note 11 changes to Irish team. Humphries is worth a punt (or Horgan)

Hi Baz,

The way it goes is a bit like this. We are looking at a Super League conf. as such and are inviting all good players to participate. Of course, most will come from RH and Pickos boys, but others will be invited as well, like Immortal from Kiwirugby. Plus many good players at FR.

Only one team per player is allowed in the comp, so to make it even for all. And it seems AFP is suggesting that we all play with our most well known teams. Being EW for you, Beer for me etc. With AFP his team would be Aussie Warriors.

The conf. wouldn't dominate as one might think as we, or some have more than one team anyway. In the old Xtra Boys there was only 3 players with muitiple teams.

I think it is a good way to start to play with all the diehard fans of Fantasy Rugby, and Test in this case.

BTW, you all know that with the current format at TR that the game is dramatically manipulated. You may have clicked onto this, but if not give me a bell and I will explain it.

Cheers,
Kobe.

Thanks Baz....

Humphreys went up over $100k overnight. The trouble is the teams are changing so much...even Henry is experimenting. I am waiting for the Welsh team as they have the Japs next week so that should be a bath ...probably do what Ireland did though and give the B team a run.

Yup I contacted AFP and he is happy for Messy and I to field a team each. Sounds ideal for us purists !!!

Here is some usefull info about the Welsh this week, thanks to the BBC. Looks like there will certainly be changes to the Welsh team now for sure :-

'Dragons full-back Kevin Morgan is likely to replace Wales captain Gareth Thomas against Japan on Friday.
Thomas has returned to France along with fly-half Stephen Jones and lock Gareth Llewellyn in a pre-aranged deal with their French clubs.

Mark Taylor (chicken pox) is out, with fellow centres Sonny Parker and Gavin Henson both doubtful (wrist injuries), but Hal Luscombe should return.

Up front, Ryan Jones (calf) and Luke Charteris (toe) are both doubtful. '

Hasn't this International Comp been a nightmare for wholesale changes to teams when playing supposedly weaker opposition and withdrawal of some games for Fantasy Points......and as for 44 players and reserves to choose from this weekend....assuming you have any TRADES left!!!.... is rather an anti-climax......or am I just bitter because the Pb wasted us   Embarrassed

    Cheers, Baz  Tongue

P.S. How are SL nos., Kobe ? Might have a couple of suggestions if you're not too full !!  Wink

Thanks, TRA!  Wink

I certainly would hope Hurricanes at least to be more competitive with all six of our boys performing well in NH Tongue

In fact it seems Ted has asked all NZ S-12 teams to put more emphasis on forward play. We could do with a bit more grunt in tight five...let's hope that settled squad means just that  Roll Eyes

I'll keep updates going here until Jan when we could do with two threads... one for each comp.

Say Hi to Messy for me! He was unlucky not to win RH division in Int. Comp.

               Cheers all, Baz  Wink
