BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM !

Hee hee, trust Teach to be watching the board stats closer than most! (certainly me!)

The apparent explosion in new users has more to do with an innundation of spam users to the system I'm afraid. This month there were over 100 users that signed up in order to post spam messages. Pretty much one account per spam. Sad

Once I worked out what was going on I changed the registration process so you need to respond to a confirmation email before your account is authorised to post, this seems to have cut down on the spam dramatically. However the user accounts that get created but then are never "activated" count in the member stats. :S

I just tried to clear these accounts and update the stats but it didn't work for some reason, will investigate furthur.

So in summary, not the sort of BOOOOM that we really want, but hopefully that will come once we get the new features on the rest of the site cranking, as in order to contribute anywhere you will need to register.

Cheers, Jules

Gee Stipe thats a bit rough, what have I ever done to you mate. It's not like my England team took the world cup away from you, you conspired to do that yourself with the fine efforts of Mitch and Spencer

Yep we will look to do an active promotion drive I think, once we get the community features working sweet on the rest of the site is my plan.

Stay tuned for how to get involved in that, hopefully in the next few days I will enlist some willing crash test dummies. Smiley
