Nobody likes playing against the wind!

We actually played a lot better than we did against the Crusaders. And yes - I'll say it, the Bulls that we played were better opposition than the Crusaders were.
Scrum still struggled until Tim Fairbrother came on and set things right, but in the main I struggled to find fault with the Hurricanes play except at scrumtime. The Bulls just played fantastic.

Not even our backline magic was enough. 4 beautiful tries with Umaga involved in just about everything, we held our own in possesion but everytime Koen got the ball he just drove it down the field with a raking punt. We concede a penalty eventually and he kicks a goal. We kickoff and he kicks it back with interest, we concede a penalty and he kicks a goal, etc.....

I tell ya, if the Bulls can keep playing like that they'll be hosting a semifinal. No doubt about it.

Revised prediction of end of season ladder:

Blues
Crusaders
Highlanders
Waratahs
--------------
Bulls
Brumbies
Stormers
Reds
Hurricanes
Cats
Chiefs
Sharks

3 NZ teams in top 3 looking likely at the moment

There are always things that we can work on and they vary from week to week. But if we get all those things right at one time someone’s going to be in for it.
