Those of you who are mad enough to be frequenting Rugbyheads already might have noticed a few changes to the site in the last few days.

Good on ya. For the train spotters amongst you here is what has changed so far. (There is much more to come!)

1) Match Schedule updated for the 2007 6 Nations and Super 14 season. (thanks Pdeb for the data dump from Rugbycomp!)
2) Home page of the site tidied up a bit.
a) Removed points tables from last years competition (that info will return on seperate competition pages at some stage).
b) added 2007 Points tables for 6N and S14.
c) removed Articles index as we haven't really used that feature for over a year now. That will return in a blaze of glory hopefully very soon!
3) Discussion board layout tweaked to match the rest of the Rugbyheads site. This is a first crack so if anyone notices any funny layout stuff, especially in weird and wonderful browsers (not Firefox or IE7 on PC in other words!) then let me know.

That's enough for now anyway, will hopefully have another session tomorrow night, and will add to this thread if I manage to release anything else of note!

Cheers, Jules

Hmm, are the little boxes and red x's where images should be?

Is anyone else seeing this?

I'll have a play around and see if I can work out the problem. Thanks for reporting it EJ!

OK, think I've fixed the little red boxes thing.

The new board template was looking in the wrong place for the images, it was looking on my local copy of the site, which obviously worked for me, but not anyone else!  Roll Eyes

Please confirm that it is fixed.

Jules,

The 'Mark As Read' function doesn't work.

The 'new' button goes to the first post not the 'new' posts.

Not nice to see Jono & BT staring at me all the time.  Think my Avatar needs changing.

Cheers for that feedback. I think I have worked out the cause of some of these little glitches, I need to update the template to match the new version of the discussion board software. Will do that tonight and see where we are then.

Keep the feedback coming!

OK, that took a bit more effort than I expected but I have now updated the board template to match the version of the board software.

Things look a bit different I know, but I think it's for the better. If things look a bit odd to you then force a refresh of the page. (hold Ctrl and hit F5 does this on Windows).

I will probably tweak the look of things a bit more in the next while, but it's pretty good for a start I feel.

As a result the following things that people have identified as broken should be fixed:

1) Karma (I have tested applauding and smiting both as my user and as a normal user)
2) the "Mark Read" button

As always any feedback on all this is welcome.

Time to catch some Zzzzzz now!

Cheers, Jules

Baz, I'm going to be doing my picks each thursday night, so I can help collect team information for the Super 14 sides if you want to chase the international ones?  Problem is that sides playing in South Africa often wait till Friday to name their teams.

Surely SANZAR could put in place a Wednesday or Thursday limit for team naming barring injury, it'd make our jobs easier.

Down to FIVE teams left now......Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs.... I've asked BB & The Side Line  boys to help rattle a few cages. Angry

For 6-N it's just Wales &  Italy to go! Sad
