I think I'm going to shy away from buying any All Blacks backs, forwards I will buy, but my selection of backs has generally paid dividends so far, and the All Blacks won't add too much to that policy...

There are two who are still very expensive but are game breakers McCaw and Carter that are always in consideration.  I still do not know how McCaw appears not get as many penalties as an average no 7.

Maybe he's just got a really good poker face on when he's at the bottom of a ruck, and nobody could suspect him of doing anything.

McCaw is a must when he comes back, I'm not likely to worry too much about Carter though, as I've got quality halves in my team (and midfielders & outside backs who can all kick goals).

I'm looking at getting Hore when he's back, and most likely either Collins, Masoe or So'oialo (most likely Collins), and as money allows, I'll invest in some better locks.

Its an interesting stage, I suspect a lot will invest in All Blacks waiting for their value to go up, but I'm working on the method that my team is going to keep generating money in those weeks as the All Blacks find their feet, and their values should stay reasonably high...

Here's hoping anyway.

Except when Carter averages over 300 a game with the odd 500 or 700 thrown in ! Lips Sealed

I would  NOT be without him! Shocked

Indeed, but who do you sacrifice then?  I've already invested in a few players... but I've got a good selection of backs who should start picking up some good points for me...

Should being the operative word.

I'm still fairly new to this FR thing but own gut tells me not to pick carter or McCaw & the likes for 1st 2 rounds back because they will probably start off the bench or play for 40-60 mins max meaning not getting full 80mins value. They will probably be rusty as well & not there 100% yet. With this being said it will also be a gamble to pick the players that they will sub with. If you are the investing type then it might well be worth it to buy the AB's in round 8 and trust fate to render the needed returns. Will be sad to Kieran Read playing off the bench as he really started to hit his straps lately.
Our SA players on ave continues to yield low returns.

Ahhh, that explains it then, so Baz, please remember you start with a 3000 point deficit in future comps

I've decided to go the opposite, I'm going to sacrifice a couple of rounds of points to get guys whilst they're at their cheapest, relying on a few stars in other positions to get me through the rough weeks.

I know its against my initial plan, but honestly, with the experience of the matrix this year, I figured I may as well take a stab in the dark with this.

Will let you know when I'm at home tonight, its dropped in value since I went on my brief shopping spree last night, but I'm hoping it pays off as values increase.

Haven't got within a Bull's roar this year, BB! To do well in TR all selling should happen on Friday after close & this year I only do it the Friday they play which loses heaps....I need to give up my DAY job! Grin

Scoring has been erratic this year IMHO but teams who have had Watson(WHY IS HE NOT A SPRINGBOK?Huh ). Shepherd & Smith as LF all season are up the top. The thing with Carter, McCaw etc is that they rarely make mistakes. Usually Mealamu, Hore, Eaton, Blackie are good buys for the same reason.

What's with this TSL bitch from TMO , BB?  Sad   PM me if you like! Shocked

I've given up on Reality Rugby 'cos they wont let me edit on Friday! Embarrassed

                                 Cheers,
                                    Baz  Wink

PS BTW Kieran Read will probably still play instead of Thorne as the latter haSA A DICKY hammy! Grin
