I think our cricketers are pathetic. They didn't like Bracewell because he was too strict. So NZC hire a more easy going guy in Andy Moles, who like many old cricket pros, hand off the responsibility of game plans and such with the captain/snr players (to enable empowerment), so their role mainly is a man mgmt one. So what do our players do??? "Whhhahhh we're not getting good enough coaching..........*sob sob*".

Players at this level shouldn't need a coach to iron out technical difficulties. If you've got major technical issues with your game, you shouldn't even be there! Most players have their own advisors etc when it comes to their own games. What do they really think a coach can do if they can't figure out things for themselves?

I think our players are pathetic. The thing that leaked to the press that Vettori is coaching the side should be the way it works! In the old days it was the snr players & captain that taught new comers into the side, giving technical hints etc. Ian Chappell for one has strong views on this. He didn't need a coach of the Aussie team! If he wanted advice about something, he'd ask!

If Andy Moles could run a good practise session, was a good organiser, got on well with the players, and was their to offer advice when needed to Vettori, then surely he's doing his job. Isn't that what the players wanted after getting rid of Bracewell!?

What a bunch of prima-donnas!

cheers

Coach should be there for tactical support also. Not the first time Moles has had a fall out.
Shouldn't of got the job in the first place. Most candidates were rubbish. John Wright would be best if he was willing.
