Ha! That would be a tad unfair - Richard Loe packing down against Kees Meeuws!! Meeuws played the Air NZ Cup last year for Otago. Loey currently is 49 years old!

I wonder who the oldest player is?

cheers

Suprised somone did not pick up Kees for the super 14 he would have been invaluable as a squad member somewhere, could have a role similar Lee Stenseness for the blues in 2003, hardly any games but was good value in the squad.

Who won.

30 seconds of googling...and the answer from Sydney is...

The Crusaders Legends v Highlanders Legends curtain raiser to the main game on Saturday proved a huge success, prompting calls for a re-match in Dunedin next year.

The Crusaders Legends featuring the likes of Reuben Thorne won the entertaining match 58-29.

There was plenty of running rugby to keep the big crowd at AMI Stadium entertained and some of the players look like they could still be out there on the big stage.

Wing Afato So'oalo is still as nippy as ever and halfbacks Aaron Flynn and Graeme Bachop can still clear the ball with the best of them.

All enjoyed the occasion and a big thanks must go to Tabai Matson who had a big hand in organising the match, and the BNZ for sponsoring it.

The BNZ paid the air fares for those who had to travel to Christchurch and the match couldn't have gone ahead without their support.

The game was televised on the Rugby Channel on Sky in NZ, unfortunately I don't have that at the moment, although now that the season has kicked off I am tempted to get it again.

Hopefully there will be a replay of it sometime on there, I might drop SKY a line to see if they can put it back on, even if it's late at night.
