In three to four weeks Hamish either Rokocoko will have cemented the left wing spot with a reincarnation of his former self (unlikely Cry) or Izzy Dagg will have done a Jane .......and said you can't NOT pick me ....imagine the surety of that back three ...all fullbacks......without losing any electrifying pace or skill!  Shocked

You heard it HERE first! Grin

Together with the dynamism of Vito off the bench from now on the AB's will only get better Tongue ....and now finally I've gotta admit that Rodder's path back is bcoming more difficult by the day Lips Sealed

ONLY 9 days to ITM Cup .......and no fantasy game in sight Cry Cry Cry! Not doing too bad in the 3-N though! Roll Eyes

Cheers,

One is beginning to think that the days of purely specialist wingers are a thing of the past, under the current rules, wingers need to have the skill set of a fullback - something illustrated with how well Jane has slotted in on the wing, and possibly how well Tamati Ellison did there as well for the Hurricanes.  You need players who can bring that complete skill set to the position.

Interestingly, Guildford can play fullback too - no doubt something that may increasingly play in his favour.

I still reckon there is great opportunities for wingers in the Lomu / Tune style.  Big hard pacy runners that can bulldoze there way over the tryline or cut back on the inside, draw the forward defence and make dominate tackle on forwards (Ionane has been doing that well for the wallabies).

They are not always the best under the high ball but hell 15-20 out you expect them to make the line either with guile or brute force
