I guess that it was just not meant to be.

Think Piri has been the best halfback since Marshall left.  Unfairly for the world cup. He wil cement the number 9 jersy 2moro.

We'll see.

If the Boks can't do any better than last week then the public will be baying for Piri at least.

I see the Cowan/Weepu debate as quite similar to the Marshall/Kelleher era - although neither Cowan nor Weepu is as good as those guys.

If it was an easy game, or we needed to play catch up, then I wanted to see Kelleher. His attacking zip was more fun to watch, and tries seemed more likely. Same with Weepu. (& Leonard?)

If it was a tough game or we held a narrow lead then I wanted to stick with Marshall. His attack was still good, and defensive heart provides more security. Same with Cowan.

I think GH shares my view - given his comments about preferring to start with Cowan and finish with Weepu.

I still hope someone else shows up before the RWC.

Smiley  Well I don't know about "cement", but he got his nose in front of Jimmy I think. Very good performance with only a few of the blemishes that have kept him out in the past.

Well done Piri
