Seven new faces in Turbos squad.

Players not available for selection due to injury are Brent Thompson, Josh Bradnock, Johnny Leota, Aaron Good and Bryn Templeman. 3 S14 players out for the season a big blow but we have signed some good players. David 'Big Dogg' Te Moana is unable to come back from Wellington due to transfer regulations so one more prop is to be added to the squad.
Manawatu Turbos 2010 squad: Francis Bryant, Karl Bryson, Tomasi Cama, Craig Clare, Mitchell Crosswell, Nick Crosswell, Aaron Cruden, Michael Fitzgerald, Rob Foreman, Callum Gibbins, Hamish Gosling, Karl Haitana, Ma'afu Fia, Sean O'Connor, James Oliver, Shannon Paku, Hadleigh Parkes, Grant Polson, Lote Raikabula, Reece Robinson, Aaron Smith, Casey Stone, Fraser Stone, Tevita Taufui, Isaac Thompson, Doug Tietjens, Asaeli Tikoirotuma.

Guys to watch out for this year in my opinion will be Aaron Smith to continue his development and land a S14 contract, Craig Clare, Callum Gibbins and Hadleigh Parkes. Almost every player has an affiliation to Manawatu in some way. All but maybe one of our signings have played footy in Manawatu before for either the rep side or a high school in the area.

Had an up and down pre season getting dicked by BOP and then beating Wellington in Wellington and then losing a tight tussle with HB. heaps of quality players missing through injury and moving to other teams. Best prop, best 7 and 8, best 12 best 14 and best 15 all gone.

We've done well to recrui two better players in Craig Clare and Shannon Paku to replace Baker and Taylor who signed with Taranaki when the NZRU was toying with throwing us out. Props are looking weak. Lineout is flawless thus far. Crosswell will have to be huge. Leota I feel will be missed the most. Biggest game of the season for me is this week vs Southland. Southland may be under done with only one game against a top team thus far in pre season. We have an awesome lineup of games this season. 7 games including the top 6 teams from last year! and tasman who were 8th? Shows how tough our away fixtures were last year and we managed a lot of tries in those games. Got a pretty big forum going over on the trademe boards if anyone wants more info on the team this year. Got my season ticket for $90 which included a signed turbos rugby ball! Treating the fans well good to see! TURBOS, TURBOS, TUUURBOOOSSSS!!!!

Yes Thompson & Bradnock will be missed ...are they both out for the season?    Undecided And what about Mulder & Argentinian fullback?

Yeah Thompson had a neck injury that's forced him to retire. Bradnock has an ongoing achilles problem so he's out for the season. Mulder didn't make the cut this year hasn't really been performing well enough and we like to promote local talent. And Bosch last played in 2008 his form was scratchy and we had Kurt Baker coming through the ranks. Looking back at 2006, 2007 and 2008 we had some bum players haha. Good thing about the injuries is that we are more than used to it and our reserves have plenty of provincial experience now and just need to step up. I'm still positive about this season it could still go well for us.

Nick Crosswell to lead the team in Bradnocks absence. Good choice.
