The RH crew went to a S14 final against NSW a couple of years back at AMI, we experienced exactly the same thing. We had some good natured NSW supporters in front of us. About 4-5 rows in front of them was this trio of absolute dickheads, pissed as farts trying to pick a fight with the NSW people, who funnily enough were mostly kiwis themselves as they were the family of Dean Mumm!
We took the steps to console the NSW crew with the knowledge that the bunch of knob cheeses below them, will in fact wake up tomorrow & still be knob cheeses, whereas they won't be!
And I'm sure every stadium on NZ (& Oz for that matter) have those same type of absolute plonkers - embarressments really.
Dont' actually understand it. I goto a game 'cos I want to watch it. Its normally quite expensive, so why waste the experience by being pissed as farts. Your potentially ruining the experience for other people. PLUS alcohol costs more than I'm willing to spend at a ground...AND generally its weasel piss like Tui or DB Draught.
I think I'm getting old. I seem to love ranting & raving about stuff! haha
