I actually was gutted last night watching the Canada v France game. When the french scored those late tries. Not because I don't like France (I do), just thought the final scoreline was most definitely NOT a true reflection on the game. The Canadians where awesome! In fact both Georgia & Romania have also been brilliant. These countries have to have more games - just seeing them every world cup sucks. They have REAL talent.

cheers

French should not have made the play-offs. They are horrible - no cohesion and certainly not playing as a unit.
My request to IRB... Please can we (SA) play in a group that don't have two PI teams. Not sure but think we have always had Samoa in our pool since we started playing in the RWC

Tonga were superb yesterday. What a game.  Then Scotland should have beaten England.

All I can say is that I feel more comfortable if the wallabies play SA than Wales in the semi-final.

Dooh

Yep that's right we play a Dan Carter less kiwi side in the semi-finals.

Damn but I hate to say this but I would be far more worried about playing a NH side that a SH side in this tournament.  The improvements in the NH game have delighted but surprised me.

Samoa is the unlucky side. There's a SH team that might have frightened you Geeves - certainly Ballboy never wants to see them again  Wink

England and France seem to have been fortunate to be in the last 8. France beaten by Tonga, and England narrowly winning 2 of their games in one of the worst pools ever; "pool of dearth" was a good quote on Stuff.

And now, one of those awful teams will cruise to the semifinal while the excellent Welsh and Irish teams will have an epic QF battle that will sadly knock one of them out.

You've got to get past the Saffas first mate. That's going to be quite a clash of styles. I'll be there, praying for extra time and general mutilation.

As Paul has stated, the Welsh and Irish are travelling pretty well but the Franch and English have been ordinary.
