What a fantastic player this guy is...

Born in Zimbabwe, he grew up in South Africa.  But the Boks will be wishing he never left them, because he was massive for the Wallabies over the weekend.

At the breakdown he was an absolute monster.

He's only 23 and right now, I put him a rung above Richie McCaw.  The Richie McCaw from a few years ago would be his equal.  But the 2011 McCaw is slightly injured, and a few yards slower.

Gee, the battle for the ball is going to be interesting this weekend.

He has been sorely missed by the wallabies during the pool stages.

I loved the way Matfield got pissed about his efforts and started whinging about him steeling the ball.

Bryce allowed far too much leniency + infringements and pocock rightfully used it to its fullest. truely Sad that Brussouw got injured so soon. Certain he would have been told to apply the same stretch of the laws too and that may well have forced Bryce to police it in the manner it should have been policed to avoid BOTH teams stealing attacking balls left right and centre the whole match.

What is this about anyways... the refs telling a player he's off sides and must move back. Blow the bastard up for it I say, he's infringing and causing the attacking team to cancel out a move beacuse the guy - in his current position - will stop the move. FFS Angry

Bottom line - I guess most people will be in agreement that the Boks were robbed by a shocker from Bryce Lawrence. Lest not forget his shocker and his abysmal performance in the Super Rugby qualifier between the Crusaders and Sharks in Nelson earlier this year. Honestly did not have any rights to be anywhere near this tournament.

To say that the Boks were completely blameless for the defeat would be incorrect for they did botch a lot of chances and had enough of the game to win despite Lawrence’s peculiar blowing of the breakdown.

I think you're right about that......but I love the fact that the media are writing up Pocock as the standard bearer at openside flank.
Come on you journos....give Ritchie some more motivation........you watch -  he'll be huge on Sunday

Bryce made heaps of mistakes in that game. But in reality the Boks are in the same position the 2007 AB's against the French where. Made all the running, at any stage looked like they where going to win. But somehow didn't. All of Bryce's cock-ups can't hide the fact the Boks should have scored 2-3 tries with all that possession they had. Just like the AB's in 2007 with Wayne Barnes.

cheers
