So much so there is no way in hell I'm going to be watching it. Watching the Wallabies win would be unbearable. Already feel sick in the stomach over that prospect. AB's have too many question marks over them at the mo with injuries to key players. It would take a monumental effort I think to beat the Wobblies, even despite their 25 year choke at Eden Park.

I want the French to beat the Welsh. France rock!

cheers

Don't know what the fever is like over there now... I'm sure there must be near hysteria now that it's the Auld Enemy you're facing.

But for the first time since 1991 the circumstances have resulted in your lot entering a WC game where they're NOT way out, shoe-in favourites. I know it may seem crazy, but I think that is really gonna help the ABs on the night. Nerves will be high... but it's now all about the game itself... a much more normal "sporting" kind of pressure. All that stuff about choking is now off the table and off their backs. And each and every AB is gonna be focussed on what they have to do throughout the game. I really think that's gonna stand to them if it turns out to be a tight game 10-20 mins into the 2nd half. (And in that sense the Argentina game is ironically really gonna help them too.)

I'm always hoping a player becomes a hero in these games rather than some terrible mistake deciding someone's career the other way!  Whatever happens, it's gonna be a fantastic weekend for rugby and I'm still stick sick to my stomach that we're on the plane home and not part of it.  Embarrassed

You know I'm already at the stage where, yes I'll be hugely disappointed if the wallabies don't win.  But the joy I get from listening to kiwi's having anxiety attacks and baiting them for another week might (I did say might) compensate the loss.

Then again listening to the self flagellation after a NZ loss is even better.  Go the wallabies.

Cheeky buggers... Don't they know the name 'The Don' was retired after some other sport type dude somewhere wore it?

Although if NZ have somehow wheeled out Bradman I'm giving up now, he'll put 200 on us easy just in the first half. May not even have to bat in the second after that.

It's bizarre, but I am actually feeling less confident this Sunday than last.

Don't get me wrong. I expected a tough game from the Wallabies with about 65% chance we would win and this Sunday I think the odds are about right too. ABs a huge favorite... but the volatility of the French is a concern.

With anyone else we have a fair idea what they are going to do. The only question is can we stop them?

But now it's France... who knows what these guys are going to do? We know that they can work themselves up into a passionate frenzy about once a year.  AND THEY HAVEN'T YET  Undecided

They cruised for half a game against the poms and three quarters against Wales - there must be a fair bit left in the tank.

Ah sod it though, my best guess is still ABs by 25. They are not going to ambush this All Black team this time.
