At least the fact that all you spammers can successfully create an account proves that the registration system is working, but it's getting a bit annoying having to delete all these bollocks messages (and associated accounts) that are obviously not signing up to talk rugby!

As I understand it the way it is currently configured there should be no way for a "bot" to automatically create an account, so you spammers obviously have enough time on your hands to trawl around the net creating these accounts yourselves. Tossers. Just imagine what positive things you and I could do with the time you are wasting?

I have modified the registration process so that now I will have to approve each new member before they can post on the board. This may well be annoying too, for the new user and me, but at least everyone else won't need to put up with the drivel that we are having to delete constantly.

If anyone has any other advice I would welcome it, either post here or just the Contact Us form.

Thanks for your attention...

Good stuff Jules.

I quite enjoyed wiping out the spammer posts, the first 5 or 6 times, But I've been deleting 10-15 topics per day for the past fortnight  Angry , so yeah - make it tougher for the pricks.

Thanks for killing the accounts.

Just make sure that there is a clear reason as to why they need to contact BT to set up there account.
