Curry Cup final and the resurgance of the Lions

So it was the clash of the two Kiwi coaches, John Mitchell (Lions) with assistant coach Carlos Spenser up against John Plumbtree (Sharks) and his assistants
you may not be aware but the Lions had no players in the sprinboks 30 man WC squad. (at least until they signed CJ van der Linde a few weeks back) playing against a sharks team, riddled with sprinkbok players.
great game - Sharks threatened the Lions try line all of the first 20 mins and then the Lions woke up and thrashed the sharks by quite some margin.
Hope this is the start of something special in Jo'burg. Can't remember when last Ellis Park was at capacity for a club/union game
wonder if SA Rugby will consider foreigners for the Bok coaching job??

Don't start praising Mitchell around here. Some kiwi's are still bitter about him as the AB coach. Although they might be more forgiving since they finally won the RWC for a second time.
So the Lions have finally managed to get their defence in order. Over the last 2 years they don't have a problem in scoring tries in the Super comp but there defence has been ordinary.
If you want ask the ARU to release Robbie Deans.

Mitchell and Deans came from the same school of "corporatespeak".
... key learnings were a deliverable outcome on this journey....
People will put up with that gobbledegook when they are winning, but it really pisses them off when they aren't winning.
