A message to the head honchos of rugbyheads:

Guys I think we should stop posting those "Rugby Forum" newsletters on the site. They're written by the press and could be easily accessed by a simple link to wherever they're posted from on the internet. Does anyone here actually read them?
I'd prefer that the article space on the rugbyheads frontpage was taken up by member contributions from Fitzy, Geeves, myself, Black Toddadder and everyone else who posts great material on Rugbyheads... not a random "week that was" from South Africa.

End of rant

They get read. For a start I read them, at least Lucas' editors note, which is always Brilliant! Wink

Check out the "Supposedly this article has been viewed X times since we bothered to start counting" message at the bottom of each article to see how many times it's been viewed. The latest edition has been read 15 times so far, not a lot but not "pointless" either.

I stopped posting them at some stage last year and got an email from a couple of people saying they missed them so I started again.

I appreciate that at the moment they seem to be half the articles being posted but that's more because the regular contributors aren't being very regular at all of late.

Instead of whinging about what is being posted how about posting something yourself eh Nathan? Tongue

I quite like reading them...  Where else do you get a South African perspective on the Super12 and rugby in general?

An "all in moderators brawl" - I'm in  Grin

I generally do like to read them, I like to see the other side of the stories. Especially around the time of the RWC they gave a real insight of how SAfricans were approaching the challenge.

I admit that it is a bit of a bore trolling through some parts. Being Afrikanese challenged doesn't help.

I particularly dislike the NZ contributor's spin on things, but I think that he isn't really writing for New Zealanders - either that or he is a twat Tongue

But by crikey those folk can be savage to their teams, makes me feel almost friendly towards the Blues Roll Eyes

I don't see any point in editing them, you can't please everybody. Try this approach: If you don't want to read it, don't click on the link!

Hmm. Alrighty then I'm outvoted! I still think a link to the website they're produced from would suffice... but it's not a biggy.
And yes I've been rather inactive lately... no excuses. I'll make something soon.
