Memory failing.....

More beer will put that fire out.....

Was a Bledisloe game. In New Zealand I think. About 2000,2001? What else happened in the game to help find it again someone?

It was definatley a bledisloe played in NZ during the day. I am pretty sure it was the game where eales kicked the match winning penalty.

I reckon it was either 2001 or 2002.

He kicked them so often it could be any game.

He kicked one in Wellington 2000 in THAT year of Bledisloe encounters. Anyone at either of those games (yours truly included in Sydney) got their money's worth.

If it was more recent I would have thought I'd have washed away less of those brain cells, but probably not.

If we are still talking about Marshall, it was at Jade, so that should limit it.

Actually I will have a look though the article archive - which I'm sure you all thought about doing yourself, didn't you?  Tongue

I am beginning to doubt it was a Tri-nations game (I originally thought it was S12).

Anyway from the AllBlacks site we have the dates of games (that Marshall played in) against Aus in Christchurch:

13/7/2002
25/7/1998
5/7/1997

If it was a ABs game, I think it was one of the failed attempts at trying Marshall as Vice-Captain, I think the Captain was Toddy, so that narrows the year fairly precisely.

Has anybody else got any other clues?

I did think about it SG, actually.

I googled without success but decided I was too lazy to try the article archive.

You know SG, I initially thought it was a S12 game also but was convinced otherwise. Now I am fairly sure it was a Bledisloe. But I still have a 'nagging doubt'. Looks like it might be set to remain a mystery. I really wouldn't mind seeing it again, it was a great tantrum and oh so amusing for Andre.

I bet he could remember it if he only read the board.

The entire Reds v Sharks game 2004.

We got enough points choking to the Highlanders to beat the Reds 4 times over.

Burkey for King..

(I really think we should restrict ourselves to one or two threads here, no sense upsetting the neighbours with our domestic disputes too much Wink )
